Aloha, My name is Chris Courtois. You can call me Coach Chris! I am an adaptive surf coach and operator of the Adaptive Surfers Academy which is a 5013-c non-profit organization.
ASA is a surf team made of international members that train and prepare our adaptive athletes for the next level of surfing and competition. Good vibes all around!

The USA Para Surf National Championships took place in Oceanside Harbor, California
on June 15th, 2021. Chris Courtois is the owner and coach of the Para Surf Team
Hawai‘i.
In 2021 ASA, has received wide local and
Global acclaim,
after leading three athletes to win medals in the
USA Para Surf National Championships, Coach Chris and the athletes were honored by the
State Senate. The Academy’s Facebook group has been selected to appear in a special featurette produced by Facebook, about the power of Facebook communities. This fall coach Chris and adaptive surfer Colin Cook will be featured in an international production for Italian television channel RAI TV presenting adaptive surfing and the ASA.
